Self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) ‘general’ Miguna Miguna has left Dubai after being bungled out of the JKIA to the persian gulf country by Kenyan authorities.
According to sources, the vocal lawyer left the UAE for Toronto aboard an Air Canada 57 (ACA57) plane after spending four days in the country.
The plane departed at 12:50am for Canada.
It is reported that he was escorted by UAE police officers and was the first to board the plane after he produced his Canadian passport.
Lawyer Nelson Havi, however, says that Miguna was not deported from Dubai.
“Miguna Miguna has, out of his own volution and with the assistance of the Canadian Consulate in UAE, travelled to and arrived in Toronto, Canada. He will undergo toxicology tests and treatment for the chemicals used to sedate and poison him. He will return thereafter,” wrote Havi.
Earlier, Miguna had claimed that he lost the passport during the three-day standoff that saw National Super Alliance (NASA) co principal Raila Odinga allegedly make frantic calls to State House in a bid to have him allowed into the country.
