Billionaire businessman Chris Kirubi is in the United States of America for specialized treatment after flying out of the country on Monday.
In a memo sent to staff by Centum Investments chief executive James Mworia, Kirubi flew to the US for treatment over an ailment that was not disclosed.
“Dr Kirubi… travelled to the United States for further investigations on Monday…
“Dr Kirubi, whom I spent time with on Monday and saw off at the airport, and have spoken to on multiple occasions since, remains in good spirits and actively engaged on business matters in his usual endearing fashion,” Mworia was quoted by Business Daily as saying.
Mworia told Business Daily that Kirubi was in good spirits in the US and not critical as alleged by some quarters and engaged on business as usual.

Kirubi, a business magnate is one of the most renowned investors in the country with an empire worth billions.
According to the daily, he reportedly owns 45 per cent of agrochemical firm Bayer East Africa, 49 per cent stake in Tiger Brands, Capital Media Group, Two Rivers in Gigiri, and The Pearl Marina Project in Uganda among others.
