Rival rappers Octopizzo and Khaligraph Jones will for the first time attend the same event, in honour of fallen rapper Bobby Slic.
The two, who don't see eye to eye, will join other rappers like Abbas, Kayvo K-force, Chiwawa, among others in this month's edition of the Hip-hop Hook-up Show at the Sarakasi Dome.
Bobby Slic, part of the group of artistes from Kibera that included Kayvo and Octopizzo, passed on late last month and was laid to rest at a well-attended burial.
Meanwhile, it was a sad week for music. Hardly had news of the loss of singer AK-47 sunk in when other reports confirmed the death of Captain Robin Gichanga of 22 Records.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that Robin passed on in his sleep, with post-mortem results showing that he had a blood clot. Robin was the stable manager of 22 Records, which has artistes like Kismat, Lutta and Mel. May he rest in peace.
