A viral letter going online that KCA University has introduced caning of rogue students is fake, says the institution.
In the viral letter dated 1st July and titled “Introduction of caning to disobedient and disrespectful students”, indiscipline students were to receive not less than 15 strokes of canes.
According to the fake letter, the new measure was to take effect on May-August trimester.
In a press statement released on Monday, the University said the origin of the letter was not from the university administration.
