Police have arrested a middle-aged man who is suspected to have killed a Class Two pupil at Lworo Primary School and dumped his body in a sugarcane plantation.
The 13-year-old boy, identified as Abraham Owiti, was allegedly killed by a farm attendant at the home of Francis Andere, a resident of Aenyo village, Uriri sub-county.
According to family members led by the deceased’s uncle Samson Osea, the pupil’s body was discovered on Friday.
“The child disappeared on Thursday while on his way from school at around noon; and his body was found today (Friday) morning with the head having been decapitated,” said Mr Osea.
Area chief Joshua Ogelo said the suspect left his employer’s home on Thursday evening.
