An emotional piece of writing by a standard five pupil has captured the attention of many on social media, over her plea to have her mother who is a teacher in Moyale, transferred to a location near her family.
In a letter written by Nicole Karino to Teacher Service Commission (TSC), the child expressed her heart-breaking concern over the failure by her mother to know their whereabouts, owing to the geographical location of her work.
“Try and remove my mum from Moyale to somewhere close to us e.g Thika or Nairobi” read part of the letter.
The letter which drew mixed reactions from social media users on Facebook painted a picture of a family in solitude and perhaps seeking help from the public to coerce the TSC into action that will see her mum.
“Please TSC If not for mum, at least for our sake,” wrote Nicole.
