A politician from Western Kenya is in the eye of a major storm over a project he initiated to assist traders in his area.
It has emerged that after holding a major fundraiser to purchase a new bus for the trader, the politician went for an old vehicle and refurbished it before presenting it to the locals as new one.
The Grapevine has learnt that the traders want to return the bus in a major public protest to the politician, whom they now accuse of playing games with them.
Sources have whispered that the politician is already aware of the planned protest and is now trying to use senior police officers to avert any demonstrations in his area.
