The Democratic Party of Kenya, which is backing President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid, has told politicians to stop intimidating the electoral commission.
Party leader Joseph Munyao said independent and constitutional bodies should be allowed to discharge their mandate without interference and intimidation from any quarter and interested parties.
"We urge the electoral commission to remain united and deliver to Kenyans free, fair and credible elections," he said.
He said the party will continue to promote democracy.
