Thousands of people graced the final campaign rally of the Jubilee presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta at Nakuru's Afraha Stadium on Saturday August 5, two days before polls open across the county.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto have called on the electorate to vote for candidates contesting on the Jubilee Party ticket on August 8.
"We are here with those who won the Jubilee Party primaries. We expect you to vote for them on Tuesday. I plead with the people of Nakuru to give us a second term and people to work with," Mr Uhuru said.
Uhuru gave a number of reasons why Kenyans should re-elect him come August 8. These include:

He assured the residents that his Government would build a special economic zone in Naivasha town.
2. Good Performance record
He said Jubilee has performed well in the past four years and that is why he was confident for a win on August 8.
‘Vote for Jubilee candidates to enable us form a stable government," He added.
3. Free maternity care for new born babies
Uhuru promised that his Government will take proper care of new born babies by providing necessary items after their birth.
4.Improved Education
The president assured Kenyans of free education from Standard one to Form four should he be re-elected
5. Continued progress across all sectors
President Uhuru pledged to continue improving the progress of all economic sectors should he be given another term.
6. Subsidised fertilizer prices for farmers
Uhuru made a promise to the residents that fertilizer prices shall be subsidized, also noting that his Government had earlier reduced the prices from Sh2, 800 to 1,800
7. Issuing of free NHIF cards to new mothers
President Uhuru promised new mothers that they will receive free NHIF cards upon delivery
