The confrontations between the Government and Opposition over whether the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) should be disbanded or not, is a threat to national unity and economy alike.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery has warned protesters — who have vowed to continue with the demonstrations — that they are yet to feel the full force of the law.
This is despite the lives that have been lost due to police brutality on protesters. Mr Nkaissery has even declared that no one is above the law except the President.
Finding amicable solutions to the IEBC stalemate is long overdue.
