Tharaka Nithi, Kenya: Two people have died and five others hospitalised following an outbreak of an unknown disease.
The disease has hit Ntoroni, Rukani and Gatithini villages.
The two died from diarrhoea while being taken to hospital.
"We have lost the two because we could not access health facilities due to poor roads," said a Ntoroni villager.
Tharaka North Health Officer Njagi Murata said they have collected samples for testing.
