Climate change has become a global challenge as its unfavourable effects have changed weather patterns completely.
This change in climate has been brought about by global warming, which emanates from emitting greenhouse gases.
The best time to come up with policy measures to tackle environmental challenges is now. We should readily adopt resolutions that will be made during the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in France.
I hope that the huge delegation that accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta to the conference in France will draw lessons on how to deal with the challenge of climate change and implement them. It will be sad if the whole delegation comes back with nothing but the usual politics.
Our political leadership should direct their energy to gainful activities like fighting relentlessly for our environment.

That aside, Kenyans should take the initiative of planting at least five trees during the current rainy season for the sake of our environment. Trees act as carbon sink, hence lessen effects of global warming.
I hope Uhuru will bring us a message of hope with action plan to address effects of climate change.
