Travel ban on the corrupt good but...

The travel ban by the US on 175 leaders suspected to be involved in graft is a good step towards fighting corruption in Kenya.

The US has reaffirmed its support for Kenya in the fight against corruption as a follow through on President Barack Obama’s promise when he visited Kenya this year.

Corruption is causing Kenya a great loss and therefore it must be stamped out as fast as possible.

The US government ought to have gone further to reveal the names of those targeted. If this is done, it would deter officials from being corrupt.

This is the right time for the developed nations to join hands with developing nations to fight corruption by issuing travel bans and freezing accounts of the corrupt leaders.
