BARINGO, KENYA: More than a hundred elders from Bomet County have joined hands and asked Governor Ruto to immediately sign for medical equipment for the sake of residents.
The elders said they are entitled to proper medical services and no leader should be a road block for ‘no apparent reason’.
Elders threatened to withdraw their support from the county government if Governor Ruto refuses to sign the equipment.
They added that devolution was not meant to provide a platform for supremacy battle but to bring services closer home.
On her side, Chairperson of Finance Committee in County Assembly of Bomet who is also MCA for Chesoen ward Beatrice Langat said Ruto should sign for the equipment or else the assembly will table and approve a bill to allow the National government to bring the machines to help the residents.
