This comes some few months after a damning report by IPOA singled out Bondeni, one of the estates in Nakuru as the worst place to live as insecurity is the order of the day. Though several leaders have come out strongly to condemn the report, it depicts the rotten underbelly of the security establishments in the entire country.
While this is happening, our elected leaders are engaging in uncalled for exchange of nasty words and accusations about the failure of the security in the country. While they live and drink in the comfort of the well-guarded life, ordinary folks like me are on a daily basis exposed to all kinds of threats,. Until when are we going to have these irresponsible, reckless, and non-essential chit chat about security failures in our nation?
I think its high time our leaders conducted themselves in a manner befitting their call and work as a team regardless of tribe, class, party or sycophancy to ensure all security loopholes and management is upped. We cannot afford to always read about this blast, that attack and the like. It must stop!
Its everyone's duty and obligation to contribute to the proper administration of security.
Let us be watchful for we can't loose a nation as old as 50 years.
