Three people were arraigned before a Magistrate's Court in Kisumu for impersonating Kenya Power officials in Kisii County.
The three; Jared Ondieki, Claudia Maina and Noel Kemunto were charged before Chief Magistrate Lucy Gitari with fraud charges.
The charge sheet read that they pretended to be in a position to connect electricity to Kenya Power customers.
They allegedly collected Sh150,000 from a new customer, Nicholas Owino for power connection. They also collected Sh50,000 from Alfred Marakal for connection, and Sh30,700 from Simon Ochola for the same.
