Kitui, Kenya: The Kitui County government chief officer has put on notice public servants who fail to perform their duties as required. The Executive Officer in-charge of Agriculture, Water and Irrigation Jacob Mwandikwa told inept and dishonest staff that they risk losing their jobs.
Mr Mwandikwa said public service meant providing services to the people, failure to which the lazy and incompetent should be axed. The officer spoke when he addressed departmental heads from his ministry at an interactive meeting at the Kitui Agricultural Institute.
“It must be understood that our core value is to deliver services to the people,” said Mwandikwa.
