The nine-member team will propose strategies on the way forward.

The Consultative Tourism Recovery Strategy Committee will comprise Kenya Tourism Federation Chairperson Lucy Karume, Kenya Association of Hotel Keepers and Caterers Chairman J.S. Vohra, Kenya Association of Tour Operators Chairman Adam Jilo and Kenya Tourism Board Managing Director Murithi Ndegwa.

Others are South Coast Stakeholders representative Chris Modigell and his Malindi counterpart Roberto Marini. Watamu will be represented by Philemon Mwavala while Donald Kipkorir and Cecil Miller will be representing non-tourism stakeholders.

The committee will have its first meeting today in Nairobi.
