Players slowly edging forward in the wall during free-kicks are set to become a thing of the past – with Fifa confirming plans to fully introduce ‘vanishing spray’.
The recently developed spray is carried by referees in their pockets during matches, and will be used when a free-kick is given.
The ref will march the defending wall back 10 yards, before spraying a white line that they must not cross.
