John Terry targeting ‘thumped’ Arsenal to bring Chelsea Christmas cheer

John Terry is targeting a win at Arsenal to take Chelsea top of the Premier League at Christmas.

The Blues were far from at their best in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace but the win left them just two points behind Arsenal.

With the league leaders having been spanked 6-3 at Manchester City, Jose Mourinho’s men will head to the Emirates Stadium next Monday knowing victory could make them the Premier League leaders at Christmas.

‘We’ve got an opportunity to go away to Arsenal next week and go top of the league,’ said Terry.

‘They got a thumping but they’re really good at home. It’s going to be tough but the motivation for us is to go there and beat them.’
