Gor Mahia have organized a an elaborate and colourful plan in which the players will ride in hired limousines from town to Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, where they play KCB before being handed the 2013 KPL Trophy for the champions.
They will do a lap of honor before going into the dressing room.
Gor Mahia first vice chairman, David Kilo, who is chairing the preparation committee for today’s event, confirmed hiring of the luxurious cars and indicated how they have prepared for the big day.
“This is the day we have all been waiting for as Gor Mahia family and we have to take all the strides to make it a worthy day for our players and fans as well,” said Kilo.

“Many teams wanted the trophy but our boys achieved it through their frantic efforts on the pitch and so the office have to treat them in a special way like special people and for that case, they will ride in the limousines,” said Kilo.
Kilo applauded the spirit of Gor Mahia fans and how well they have stood with the team through the bumpy road to glory.
“Gor Mahia fans are fantastic and their never-say-die spirit has pushed the team in the recent seasons to give players morale to offer their 100 per cent on the pitch.
“The office is working with a section of fans headed by Ben Agunda, who is one of the fans coordinators, to make Sunday a big day for all of us”, he concluded.
Gor have won the title after 18 years and all their fans are happy to see their team being crowned the champions of the biggest football title in Kenya.
A huge turnout is expected today.
“We expect our fans from all over the country to witness this momentous occasion,” said Kilo.
All past chairmen, among them Lelsie Okudo, Oyieng Odolla, Fred Mwango, Joe Ogode, Zack Mbori, will witness the occasion. Chairman Ambrose Rachier, who was upcountry, has cut short his visit Two octogenerian fans, one from Gem and another from Mombasa, have also been invited. Juma Toto of Hodi Boys will entertain the crowd.
