Western Stima captain George Wesa says his side will not be unfazed by Gor Mahia’s fine form when they meet them in a Gotv Shield Cup semifinal on Saturday, at Nyayo National Stadium.
This will be the third meeting between the two sides this season. In the first leg of the Kenyan Premier League, Stima beat Gor 2-1 before K’Ogalo emerged victors in the return leg stunning the Power-men 2-0.
Western Stima has always been a tough side for Gor Mahia and their encounter this weekend can be treated as a league match because both teams are all in the top tier league where Gor Mahia is the table leaders with 47 points though some changes are expected in the starting line ups especially for Gor Mahia. It is worth noting that Gor Mahia are also the defending champions for the same title they are facing Stima.
But according to the former Harambee Stars defender, they will leave nothing to chance as the face the league leaders.

“This is our only opportunity to lift the silverware this season. We know what lies ahead of us; Gor have good fan base, but we are ready to give them a run for their money,” said Wesa.
