Merciless brewers Tusker FC bundled up hosts Kakamega Homeboyz FC mauling them 5-1 in an astounding fashion that left the rookie side dazed.
It was muscling experience of talent and experience and the results shattered the hopes of the hosts, cementing them at basement.
Razor sharp Tusker striker Jesse Were turned the stadium to a one man theatre shaking the nets four times yesterday.
Robert Omnuk broke the ice with a low range for Tusker in the 21st minute.
Four minute later, Were rose to the challenge to up Tuskers’ tally from the spot after Homeboyz midfielder Chrispinas Mathenge handled in the box.
Jesse scored the other goals in the 60th, 66th and 72nd.
Substitute Moses Mudavadi fired the consolation for Homeboyz in the 86th minute.
STUBBON KARUTURI
In Nakuru, Gor Mahia collected maximum points after they overcome stubborn Karuturi Sports 2-1 in an entertaining match at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
Gor earned their first goal from a penalty converted by Rama Salim in the 37th minute after midfielder Erick Ochieng was fouled in the box by one of the Karuturi defenders.
The second goal in the 71st minute from diminutive lanky striker Edwin Lavatsa who was put through by second half substitute Paul Kiongera.
Karuturi earned their consolation goal at the injury time slotted home by Ali Mwachiponi from a corner kick.
At City Stadium, Kenya Commercial Bank and Mathare United drew 2-2.
BANKERS HELD
The bankers went ahead in the 12th minute when Edwin Oduor put them ahead from close range.
Four minutes later Brian Osumba added the second goal for the bankers.
United were back into the game three minutes after the half hour mark with Keneth Wendo scoring to pull one back after coming on to replace Meshack Karani.
Wendo was on the mark again in the 76th minute to ensure United got a point from this match.
In Muhoroni, Visiting Sony FC came from a goal down to force hosts Muhoroni Youth FC 1-1 draw at the Muhoroni Sports Complex.
Jack Oduor of Muhoroni Youth FC gave the hosts the only goal in the 52nd minute of the game but the home team failed to hold on giving the visiting team a chance to equalise after several defence blunders.
Former Tusker forward Moses Arita equalizsed in the 68th minute to deny the home team a clear win.
