GHS Aviation Group, a global aviation consulting, auditing and training organisation has partnered with Kenya Airways to establish its first regional office in Africa.
The US firm, says the move is driven by a growing demand for its services. “The growing demand for GHS professional services in Africa drives the decision to have a permanent presence in the region.
In addition, we are fortunate to have experienced senior aviation safety subject matter experts based in Africa and are presently expanding our team,” said Captain George Snyder, GHS Aviation Group president and chief executive officer.
“African aviation organisations such as Kenya Airways will now have geographically favourable access to consulting, auditing and training services that will significantly reduce costs and add positive business value,” he added. As an accredited Audit Organization, GHS is a provider of IATA Operational Safety Audit and IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operators professional services.

The partnership complements ongoing industry and government collaborations to improve air transportation safety levels within Africa.
Kenya Airways Chief Executive Dr Titus Naikuni lauded the move by GHS Aviation saying the airline would benefit from GHS Aviation’s extensive industry experience.
“Having a consultancy business unit will enable Kenya Airways to share its business knowledge while also improving its income flows, ” said Naikuni.
“GHS and Kenya Airways partnership is set to bring into Africa the much needed professional standards that will be catalyst for safer African skies through tried and tested systems and products that have worked in many parts of the world,” he explained.
