NAIROBI; KENYA: Police have summoned a number of friends to Tony Ogunda, the man who was found dead in the house of former minister Raphael Tuju, for questioning.
Officers want to know if Ogunda, who is accused of being a lover to Tuju’s wife, shared any vital information before his death.
Detectives were expected to close the file on the investigations yesterday and they said they are progressing well with the probe into the death.
Among the summoned are Ogunda’s friends dining with him before he died and will appear at the Kilimani Police Station to record statements.

“We have requested a number of them and we are waiting for others to show up so that they can give their information on this matter,” said Kilimani head of CID George Ojuka.
Ogunda’s friends have been talking to the media about the incident and making insinuations.
Police said they are almost completing their probe into the incident in which the 24-year-old former GSU officer was found dead in the house last week.
Ogunda had been named in a divorce petition filed by Tuju, who is seeking to legally end his 27-year marriage to Ruth Akinyi, with whom they have three children.
