NAIROBI, KENYA: Samsung has launched a wide range of air conditioning technology targeting Kenya’s booming property market.

The country has in the past few years experienced a property boom with contractors taking advantage of the vertical space for more returns from commercial and residential commercialization leading to demand of single unit air conditioners and chillers as opposed to several units.

“We are continuously innovating to meet the property market demands by offering unique cooling experiences with our new range of Air conditioners and Chillers,” said Samsung E.A vice president and Managing Director Hyung Jung Park said.

The new range includes the 360 Cassette air conditioning units, DVM Chiller, next generation DVM S 30HP, and new side discharge VRF unit – the DVM S Eco 14HP to serve real estate which will continue being demanding hence the need for revolutionary, technology integrated products to meet the specific tastes and demands of a visually aware market.

The president of the Architects Association of Kenya AAK Mr. Waweru Gathecha applauded the move saying smaller, economic, efficient compatible air conditioners and chillers are a specific area of interest to architects and engineers for elegant architecture and design of living spaces and value for the customers.

He added that the focus has been on releasing space for other purposes in the building by omitting plant rooms and integrating  air conditioners and chillers that  are better elevated, nicely concealed and of a greater effect aesthetically.

Together, these innovations in HVAC engineering will transform air conditioning by boosting energy efficiency and performance, maximizing space, and increasing cooling speed.
