Hotel chain, Sun Africa Hotels, is expanding to tap into the growing middle class in Kenya.
Sun Africa Hotels Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Rahul Sood, said the hospitality firm has finalised plans to open its new hotel in Nairobi’s Hurlingham area to be known as Sun Africa Hotel Nairobi, which will have 122 rooms.
“As investors in the hospitality industry, constant upgrade and investments remains prudent,’’ Sood told said. He said the hotel is expected to open later in the year. The firm also owns Keekorok Safari Lodge, Lake Naivasha Country Club, Kiboko Luxury Camp and the new Lake Baringo Club.
Sun Africa Hotels has also branched out into hotel management with the new brand SUN 101. It has signed up their first client, a three star hotel in Nairobi. “More signings are expected to be announced soon,’’ Sood said.
