Uber will now pick up and drop of passengers from local airports past the 9pm curfew following the resumption of international flights in Kenya.
“From August 31 2020, you will be able to request trips to and from JKIA, Wilson Airport and Moi International Airport Mombasa 24-hours a day. Whether you have a late flight to catch or your flight lands past curfew hours you will be able to access our services,” said Uber Kenya.
Customers will only be allowed to request a ride past curfew if the pickup or destination points are the three airports. They must also have a valid plane ticket on their devices or in print.
Cabs suspended night service following the nationwide curfew imposed by President Uhuru Kenyatta on March 27, 20202 as one of the measures to fight COVID-19 pandemic.
