A former Army officer has been reappointed chairman of the Poverty Eradication Commission.
Mr John Koech, the former Deputy Chief of General Staff, was early this month sacked on grounds that he was a leader of a registered political party.
Planning PS Edward Sambili reinstated Koech after Prime Minister Raila Odinga intervened.
Yesterday, Raila while speaking during a breakfast talk show in a vernacular radio station said Koech was sacked by the PS without his knowledge or without any consultation with his office.
