subordinate status
It notes that violence against women is used as a tool to maintain and enforce their subordinate status.
Speaking during the launch, Mrs Naomi Wagereka, Fida chair, said the film aims to raise awareness among women, especially those seeking elective posts.
"Overcoming Hurdles will break the conspiracy of silence that is responsible for women’s woes in the country today. It will break our quiet lives of desperations," Ms Wagereka said.
