Mombasa, Kenya: A warrant of arrest, which was issued against British female terror suspect Samantha Lewthwaite in Mombasa, has been extended for a month.

It was extended by Mombasa Senior Principal Magistrate Richard Odenyo yesterday after prosecutor Peter Waithaka asked the court to renew the warrant because the suspect and her husband has not been arrested.

The warrant, which was first issued two years ago, comes three days after another court summoned a British police officer to come and produce the exhibits which were seized from her houses in Shanzu and Nyali after she escaped arrest.

Samantha or the White Widow has been a fugitive since she allegedly escaped a police trap more than two years ago. She has been charged in absentia for being in possession of explosives and belonging to terror group Al Shabaab alongside her husband Habib Ghani.
