A warrant of arrest has been issued against Shinyalu MP Silverse Lisamula over electoral violence in his constituency.
According to copies of arrest warrants released by the Kakamega Law Courts and seen by The Standard On Saturday, the MP is among six people police expect to answer to charges of electoral violence.
Kakamega Central OCPD Charles Kinywa said two people were arrested last week, while arrest warrants have been issued for four more.
Elsewhere in Coast, a case involving the Mombasa Republican Council spokesman Rashid Mraja will be heard on May 27 after three other accused were enjoined in the case in a Kwale court yesterday.
Mwalimu Shebani Mrenzi, Ali Mbega Mwazani, Rashid Juma Obokoo and Mraja are accused of taking unlawful oath to disturb the public peace on February 28 at Mwakwenyeni area.
