Lady Gaga has revealed that her next album will be called Artpop.
The singer confirmed the name on Twitter.
Last week, the 26-year-old posed in a picture with the words tattooed in black ink on her forearm.
She wrote "new album, new ink" underneath and has now confirmed it will be the follow-up to Born This Way. It's thought Artpop, which will be her third studio album, will be released in early 2013.
The star said: "Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title it's all in the details."
Lady Gaga is on her Born This Way Ball tour, including 110 dates around the world.
It's not due to finish until early next year and is just about to begin the European leg before going on to Latin America.
Gaga is also about to make her film debut in director Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills, which is expected out around October.
There have been some clues that she was still making new material while touring. She recently played a new song for a small group of fans who gathered around her car in New York.
Earlier this year Gaga was ranked at number four on Billboard's list of top money makers of 2011, taking in a total of more than £16 million ($25m).
Her most recent album Born This Way reached number one in the UK album chart and included the singles Judas and The Edge of Glory.
