Top world beauty Ivian Sarcos arrives in Nairobi on Thursday morning for her long awaited visit.
During her visit, Sarcos — who is the reigning Miss World — will be accompanied by the Miss World Limited CEO, Julia Morley, and Miss World, Europe, Alize Mounter among others.
The highly anticipated visit will also be attended by all the reigning Miss World beauty queens from across Africa.
The visit, which is one of a kind, will see the top model attend the Miss Kenya 2012 crowning ceremony to be held in Nairobi on Saturday.
“We have never had a reigning Miss World visit us for such a grand ceremony. It is a big honour and privilege for us that, out of her busy schedule Sarcos and the Miss World team have opted to visit Kenya,” Terry Mungai, the Miss World, Kenya, franchise director and Ashleys CEO told MondayBlues.
“The Miss World delegation will feature Stephen Morley, the Miss World Communication Director, Jonathan Forsyth-Johnson, Vivian Harris, Warren Batchelor and Philip Vail,” Terry informed.
It is the biggest of such a high profiled visit by a reigning beauty pageant in the region. It comes barely a year after Miss World 2010, Alexandria Mills visited the country for a charity mission.
News of her visit has been welcomed by top Kenyan beauty queens, among them former Miss World, Kenya, crown holders Cecilia Mwangi, Natasha Metto and the current queen Susan Anyango.
Her six-day stay will also see her extend her Water for Life charity campaign.
