Mombasa’s four-star resort, Travellers Beach Hotel has been awarded the 2011 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.
This prestigious certificate is awarded to member properties of TripAdvisor who consistently receive excellence ratings from travellers around the world.
TripAdvisor is the world’s largest travel site featuring reviews and advice on hotels.
"Reviews by guests of the hotel are very valuable and important in that it is the guests satisfaction that matters in hospitality industry. Winning such an award where those who have patronised our establishment is a major feather in the cap," said hotel General Manager Freddie Kiuru.
Stellar list
Kiuru, who was flanked by other senior hotel managers, said they are particularly indebted to their staff who have over time shown dedication in their work to serve clients.
Hotel guests from the UK joined in to congratulate the hotel for the achievement.
Travellers Beach joins the list of top Coast-based hotels that have won the certification this year.
They include the Baobab Beach Resort &Spa in the idlylic Diani, South Coast, the five-star Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort &Spa and the Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort, also in the South Coast.
Kiuru said the hotel is working on a lot of improvements on their standard Vision 2012 and are eager to attain the minimum five-star rating in TripAdvisor.
