"What is remaining is piping from the dam to the town. In one year, it will be complete and the people of Samburu and Maralal will get a reliable source of water," he said.
Kindiki announced that the long-awaited tarmacking of the Maralal-Baragoi road is set to begin, following the allocation of funds.
"We have the funds to tarmac the road, and the contractor will be here anytime from now," he said.
The DP reaffirmed the government's commitment to restore peace and security in Samburu County, vowing to eliminate banditry that has long affected the area.
"We will not sleep pretty until peace and security is fully restored in Samburu," Kindiki declared.
He said that the Rumuruti Power Sub-station project is being fast-tracked to stabilise electricity supply in Maralal and its environs, to end frequent power outage.
