Homa Bay Woman rep Joyce Osogo has revealed that she was a difficult woman to seduce during her youth.

Dr Osogo alias Bensouda said she chose her husband, Jeremiah Obong’o after a thorough vetting.

Being a difficult woman, she saw a number of men going to seduce her but turned their requests down. That was due to the high threshold she had put in choosing a man who could become her husband.

Speaking at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay town during the launch of Homa Bay County Woman Rep Tournament First Edition 2023, Dr Osogo recalled how she put a number of men to task. “I was difficult to seduce and many men who came to me had to be asked difficult questions,” she said. Dr Osogo continued rejecting men until she met Mr Obong’o whom she settled with. She said her initial interaction with Obong’o showed that he had the desirable qualities of a husband.

“Based on my habit of being keen, I assessed and concluded that he had the best qualities of being my husband. Finally, I chose him and we are living well to date,” she said.

Mr Obong’o praised Dr Osogo as a good wife and leader.

He said his main agenda is to ensure his wife addresses the concerns of Homa Bay people through service delivery.

“I always advise Bensouda to serve the people of Homa Bay well. I believe she is going to achieve a lot in the implementation of her manifesto in servicing the people of this county,” Obong’o said. Dr Osogo argued that anyone who wants to succeed in their endeavours must be keen on every detail.

“For one to succeed in what they are doing, they must be keen in organisation and management of events,” Dr Osogo said.

She expressed her commitment in serving her electorate both in Homa Bay County and the National Assembly. In Homa Bay, she has been running a tournament which ended on Wednesday at Asumbi Teachers Training College in Rangwe Constituency. Dr Osogo said the tournament was meant to create a platform in which the youth can develop their talents.

“I have organised this tournament to create a platform where the youth can develop their talents. I will use this tournament to identify the talent of our youth to connect them to various opportunities for earning a living,” Osogo said.
