After Pulse broke an investigative piece on how some artistes signed to Ogopa Deejays were threatening to leave the stable over management issues, the Ogopa management cracked the whip on Monday, terminating artistes’ contracts and throwing the stars’ showbiz future into disarray.

A number of artistes who have been working with the stable for years, among them Kenzo and Moustapha, are pondering their next move after Lucas, the Ogopa Deejays boss, announced the contract termination.

“Yes, it is true that we terminated the contracts, and we will be recruiting afresh. We have a meeting on Saturday (tomorrow) to discuss the way forward,” Lucas Bukedo, the often-hidden face behind Ogopa Deejays told Pulse during an exclusive interview on Tuesday.

The Ogopa boss said tomorrow’s meeting is supposed to come up with a detailed plan on the direction the music production and record label should take.

“I am confused. This is where I have been working on my music in all the years I have been in showbiz. I have no idea what to do, and just hope Lucas will reverse the move,” Moustapha lamented when Pulse reached him for a comment.

“I still have a lot of unfinished material, which I had been working on with Lucas. If I leave, all this will go to waste.”

And Kenzo told Pulse he had never imagined leaving Ogopa Deejays.

“It is true that my contract had expired, and was up for renewal. Now, I am in a dilemma,” he quipped.
