The late Whitney Houston’s mum, Cissy Houston, has lashed out to an upcoming TV biopic, with a message to the filmmakers to “let her daughter rest”.
According to express.co.ke, the film which is for America’s Lifetime Network, will have Angela Bassett, who will be making her directorial debut with I Will Always Love You. Despite not having Whitney’s family blessings, the network has decided to still go on with the movie.
Cissy went on to add, “We are tired of the misinformation and comments offers by people who did not know her. Please let her rest”.
The cast has already been named with America’s Next Top Model contestant Yaya DaCoasta is set to play Whitney, Singer Deborah Cox will provide vocal tracks and Final Destination 5 star Arlen Escarpeta will play Bobby Brown.
