Diamond Platnumz's latest collabo has hit 4 million views on Youtube in two weeks

At the rate Kenyans are consuming local music, for sure artists will have something to wail about. If it’s not Naija music dominating our airwaves, it is Kwaito or bongo.

And if the charts are anything to go by, Kenyans would rather listen to foreign music than support their own local artists. This factoring in that the quality of music from Kenya has gone way up but why are Kenyans still not buying their own music? That is a story for another day.

As it stands, Tanzanian music star Chibu Dangote aka Diamond, will be singing straight to the bank as Kenyans buy his latest song ‘Salome’ thrusting it to first position in the itunes top 100 not in Tanzania or the US, but Kenya.

‘’Ningependa niwajulishe kuwa Nyimbo yetu pendwa ya #SALOME imeshika nafasi ya kwanza katika Nyimbo Miamoja bora (100 ) zinazoongoza kwa kununuliwa nchini KENYA... thanks alot KENYA for the Big Love???? Full Video link in my BIO.’’ He posted a few hours ago.
