Kenyans love to gossip that is not a secret…and most of the times they might create a story especially about celebrities that does not exist. Why? We will never know.
Some rumors turn out to be true while others are just outrageously ridiculous. Here are some of the absurd rumors ever written reveals
A blogger once shocked Kenyans when he went ahead to publish a story of Nameless and Wahu divorcing in 2010. Apparently Nameless was divorcing his wife over paternity issues…stating that Nameless was not the father of Wahu’s two daughters. Nameless however replied to the blogger, and set the record straight. The two love birds lately look really happy together and definitely not getting a divorce.
Avril is a lesbian????
We totally get where this rumor came from. Photos circulated on the internet a few years back showing Songbird Avril in bed with another woman. It is still not clear if the photos were legit or not. Word then circulated that the singer was lesbian…However she will soon getting married to her handsome fiancee from South Africa. That doesn’t sound lesbian at all.
Octopizzo is illuminati
Why, people would say such a thing about one of the undisputable Kenyan rapper is unknown. Although there are a number of renowned musicians who have been associated with voodoo but it beats logic to associate everyone to Illuminati just because they are gaining fame and success.
The rumor circulated a few years back that Octopizzo was Illuminati after he started gaining a legion of fans and became one of the most popular rappers not only in Kenya but in the African continent. Because simply his hard work was paying off Kenyans assumed he is Illuminati, really?
Octopizzo opened up later about this rumor saying it’s the work of haters who were speculating this about him, which we agree with.
Mike Sonko and Lilian Muli dating?
Ok people, just because a man and woman are spotted taking a photo together doesn’t necessarily mean they are dating. Remember when this rumor went viral? It was absurd. Fans of Lilian Muli even went ahead to bully her for this on social media before knowing the whole truth.
Lilian Muli however set the record straight via social media and stated that she was not dating Mike Sonko. Truth is, we honestly don’t see how these two dated.
Huddah Monroe Pregnant
A few years back rumor had it that Huddah Monroe was pregnant for a Ghanaian tycoon, who wanted to marry her. Five years down the line, Huddah still does not have a child nor is she married…whether it was true or not we do not know.
Nyota Ndogo’s death rumors
Death rumors of Mombasa songbird Nyota Ndogo in 2012, saw her assuage the fears of family, friends and fans.
Nyota said in an earlier interview:, "I did not know how the rumours started, because at the time I was at the Sawa Sawa festival in Nairobi where I was performing. I got a call from Ali Manzu who sounded concerned. He then told me that he has read on Facebook that I'm dead. I told him to comment on the post and say he has just talked to me and that it is all false.
"The sad part about all this, is that her mother who lives far away from her, when this kind of rumors started got her worried a lot. They caused a lot of harm. I would like to ask that people verify the news before spreading it," She said, "Yes, death is a must for everyone, I'm not afraid to die but since I'm not dead stop killing me."
