Former TPF 4 contestant from Tanzania, Peter Msechu may have not won the grand prize of 5million which instead went to Davis that year, but rather than wallowing in his loss, the star decided to take up a musical career in his hometown. At first the reception was good and through well versed songs the singer earned himself a spot at the top in the hearts of many Tanzanians.

Over the years, Msechu kept releasing music, but woes checked in after the release of his last song ‘Nyota’ which became such a hit, it paralyzed his musical genius. After Nyota, the star was scared to make another song that would not become as much of a hit. Months down the line, Msechu has not yet released any new song, something that has his fans and people talking.

So affected is the singer that despite the aggressive election campaigns happening across Tanzania, he was not among the hit makers called to perform.

The star however came out to explain his silence while defending his decision to take a break from the musical scene. ”Now, I am shooting a new video and I have a lot of songs ready but am finding it hard to release any that will be big than Nyota.” Msechu explained.

In regards to writing new music, he insisted, “I got a lot of songs but I think not yet, after the elections I will know which song I will release among the many I have.”
