Talent, depth and creativity define Janet Otieno, the new gospel star in town, who is burning millions on her flashy videos now threatening the status quo in the gospel industry.
The singer, who was nominated in the Groove Awards' Female Artiste of the Year category last year, barely months after she launched her music career, has released 10 hit songs, becoming the first artiste to release such a number of songs in such a short time.
“I am ready to use any amount to create the best videos and change the image of the gospel industry. We don't serve a poor God, neither should Christians be associated with poverty, an excuse many use to produce sub-standard work," Janet told Pulse.
Her singles Mtafute, Heshima, Uniongoze, Ni Wewe and Napokea Kwako are getting mouths talking as producers battle to cash in on her talent.
