After enjoying the most high frequency plays in East Africa Radio & Television Stations Kiddis, a Mombasa based artist, might not be the legit owner of ‘Kamua Leo’ Original Version.

According To Chapatizo, another Mombasa based artist Cum producer, who was behind the production of the hit song, claims to have featured Kiddis instead of being featured by Kiddis.

“The initial agreement was to introduce Kiddis beyond Mombasa after being underground for years,” he said. It all Started when the original producer of the hit song was excluded from the Kamua Leo Remix.

Chapatizo went on to explain that trouble began when Kiddis came to Nairobi for a video shoot of the Original Kamua Leo "Tujichanganye",  which was funded by a sponsor.

Surprisingly, the song was credited to Kiddis as the main artist featuring Chapatizo. While in real sense, Chapatizo was the producer and main artist of the song while Kiddis was only featuring in the hit song.

The visibly distressed Chapatizo said he failed to understand why Kiddis decided to go against their initial agreement.

It was also during that time that several production houses like Ogopa Djs asked the duo to work on a remix but Chapatizo decline the offer, citing their low popularity status at the time. Kiddis however, went on to sign with GrandPa Records without his knowledge.

His efforts to settle with the reknown record label have bore no fruit as he has had no legal documentation to justify his claim. Kiddis on the other hand came out and said that it has been a rough road working with Chapatizo as he is never ready to accomodate anyone else’s ideas or sugessions.

Chapatizo is currently working on his own production house “The Boss”
