Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s three weddings - inclusive of their family flying across the globe for a weekend filled with adventure, is nothing new to the glamorous celebrity lifestyle.

The American Reality TV star and her rockstar husband are both multi-millionaires, so it is safe to say that they could afford every bit of the luxury they splurged on to say ‘I do’.

Entertainment website Harper's Bazaar placed Kourtney Kardashian’s net worth at an enviable $35 million (Sh4 billion) in 2021. Life and Style Magazine backed multiple reports that Travis Barker has an equally impressive net worth, with $50 million (Sh5.8 Billion) to his name.

“The bulk of her fortune comes from her reality show salary, but also her endorsement deals. She also launched her lifestyle brand and e-commerce site, Poosh, which also likely adds to her income,” Harper's Bazaar reports.

Life and Style Magazine wrote: “Pop-punk legends Blink-182 made their mark on the mainstream music scene in 1999, so it is no surprise drummer Travis Barker is worth a pretty penny from all those years of chart-topping hits.”

The magazine adds that besides being a successful drummer for a popular rock band, Barker has a clothing line. He has also written a book and owns several multi-million dollar properties.

When famous personalities get married, it is often an ultra-expensive affair that is far from humble. We take a look at other major celebrity weddings where no expense was spared.

Mexican-American actress Salma Hayek is successful in her own right, but she is also married to a billionaire.

Her husband of over 12 years, François-Henri Pinault is a French Businessman and the CEO of luxury fashion group Kering. Pinault’s net worth is placed at $35 Billion (Sh4 trillion, according to Bloomberg.

“The majority of Pinault's wealth is derived from his family's 41 per cent stake in Kering, a publicly-traded seller of luxury goods. His son Francois-Henri is the CEO of the company. His stake is held through the family's investment vehicle Group Artemis, which is controlled by Pinault and other members of his family, according to the company's 2021 annual report.”

When a billionaire marries Hollywood royalty, it calls for pulling all the stops.

People magazine described the event as “Salma’s fairy-tale wedding.”

About 150 family and friends attended the 2009 nuptials held in Venice, Italy. This ceremony followed a courthouse wedding, just like Kourtney and Travis.

“The weekend celebrations kicked off Friday evening with a carnival-style masked ball at Venice’s historic Punta Della Dogana.”

Brides.com listed Hayek’s dress as one of the most expensive celebrity wedding dresses of all time. The Balenciaga gown reportedly cost $434,000 (Sh50 million), which is notably the same cost as Kate Middleton’s (Duchess of Cambridge) wedding dress.

“Hayek’s (Balenciaga) gown, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, featured an intricately detailed deep v-neck bodice that flowed into a full-body skirt.”
