Radio presenter Adelle Onyango has exclusively revealed to Heads Up how a stalker almost messed up her life a few years ago.

The man who seemed to know all her movements was clearly obsessed with her.

“He kept sending messages on Facebook and even after I’d block him from my fan page, he found a way to send more messages. He would mention my close friends and the places I regularly visited. He even knew where I lived. That’s when I got scared.

When I reported him to the cops, he knew and even sent a message mocking me for doing that. He’d send between 20 and 30 messages a day. He thought every love song I played on air was for him. Luckily, I have a friend, one of the best cyber security experts in this region, who managed to get rid of this cyber stalker,” Adelle told Heads Up.

Lucky for her, she seems to be getting sane feedback from her fans lately.

Over the weekend, social activist Adelle Onyango joined three other top female personalities in a mentorship event dubbed #NajijuaNajiamini held at Machakos Girls High School. Adelle gave a talk to the hall full of teenagers about the importance of being self-aware.

Hosted under Champs Foundation, the campaign is a brainchild of radio presenter Mwende Macharia.
