Italian football club AS Roma on Saturday, October 12, was forced to tweet in Swahili after their post on Eliud Kipchoge’s INEOS challenge success.
This came after one of the club’s fans requested for an AS Roma Swahili twitter account in the comment section of their tweet.
After Kipchoge won the challenge, the football club went ahead to post a video of the world marathon record holder crossing the finishing line with the time clocked indicated.
AS Roma accompanied the video with the caption ‘incredible’.
The Italian giants went ahead to state that plans to set up a Swahili account were underway and that it is coming soon.

This is the second time the football club has done something notable towards Kenya.
In July 2019 the club partnered with Missing Child Kenya to search for Kenyans who went missing.
As part of the initiative, the club in September 2019 posted pictures of 16 Kenyan minors with the aim of reuniting them with their guardians.
