NASA Co-Principal and also former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has insisted that news doing rounds on social media saying he has defected to Jubilee is false and is in NASA to stay.

The former Governor, who lost the Bomet Governor’s seat to history maker Joyce Laboso stated that he will not join Jubilee Party and ditch the National Super Alliance.

“I have decided to maintain a low profile and allow Bomet people to settle. I know the election was marred with a lot of irregularities since government machinery were used to intimidate my supporters,” said Ruto

He also expressed his disappointment that most of his agents were chased away from polling stations on the 8th of August 2017, saying that it is now too late to move to court to contest Joyce Laboso’s win.

“Jubilee has not approached me but I have seen things blow out of proportion on social media,” said the former governor.

According to him, he remains a ‘wounded lion, and might maintain a low profile for now by joining the Opposition rallies and campaigns.

He also insisted that the fact that he lost to Laboso doesn’t mean that the election was conducted in a free and fair manner since he never saw his agents’ signatures signed on any results.
