A deputy Governor from Nyanza created a storm during his swearing ceremony on Monday after he introduced his wife and two of his three children for the first time in public ever since since he took office in 2013.
There were murmurs from the crowd as the Deputy Governor designate introduced his family who have been living abroad.
Some of the guests could be heard asking why the official took so long to introduce his family to the electorate since 2013.
An MP left the crowd in stitches when he lauded the deputy governor for having seen it fit to bring his family to the function since he was among the locals who were seeing the politician's wife and children for the first time.
He said that most of the voters in the area thought that the Deputy Governor was a senior bachelor.
