Uefa Despanol FC are the 82Cup Football Tournament Umoja edition champions.

The winners edged Tena United FC 4-3 on post-match penalties in the crunch finals held at Tumaini Grounds in Umoja, Nairobi at the weekend.

The arch rivals had battled to a barren draw in regulation.

Third place play-off was clinched by Ten Daily FC who piped Umoja Rhino 1-0.

On their way to the cuthroat finals, Tena United sliced Ten Daily 1-0 in the semis as Uefa Despanol beat Umoja Rhino 2-0.

Uefa Despanol went home Sh 100000 richer for emerging champions as Tena United were awarded Sh50,000 for finishing second.

Ten Daily bagged Sh30,000 for their feat in the play-off.

Golden Glove award went to Hillary Odhiambo of Uefa Despanol as his team mate Julian Otieno bagged the Golden Boot trophy.

Most Valuable Player award went to Michael Kiarie of Umoja Rhino.

"The theme of the tournament series is 'Play For Green Spaces'.

"The competition advocates for sustainable actions on climate change," Skyward Express Digital Marketing Executive Brian Wango told Standard Sports.

"We are contented with the huge turnout of fans in Umoja.

"It was bigger than the two editions we have held in Dandora and Langata.

"The next leg of the contest will head to Kasarani next month," Wango underlined.
